View Full Version : meshedit + polPnts question

Here is a rough overview of the steps i'm trying to follow:

1. meshedit begins (local->editBegin)
2. create some points
3. use polPnts to add points created in step 2 to a polygon X
4. create more points
5. use polPnts to add points created in step 4 to the same polygon X (in addition to points added in step 3)
6. meshedit ends

It does not work. If right after step 3 I call polyInfo(X) it does not show me points added in step 3 and numPnts does not reflect the change either.
Do I need to end meshedit in bettween or should I aim at adding all new points to a polygon in one shot (which would compliacate things for me but its doable) or is there any other way?

It looks like mesheditop gives you access to database which is currently available.. Newly made items are not there yet, at least not fully.. Otherwise f.e. making point in pointScan() function would end up in infinite loop.. Unfortunately in EasySplit I had to double-buffer polygons and then continue working on copies (just in memory, not yet true LW polygons) and at the end when everything was done, "freeze" them to LW polygons..
