I have Lightwave 8.5 and was wondering what bugs and how many I may run into in Lightwave 9.0? Any advice would be great!

9.2 is nearing release. If I were you, I'd watch this forum when it's released. Then you can make up your mind :) There's a lot of good stuff coming in 9.2.

What kind of stuff? I mostly use Lightwave for Print work, very little animation.

Plus there's also the Universal Binary version for Intel-based macs which is still under development at the moment, (but won't get an offical release until after standard 9.2 version is set loose).

At this stage all looking pretty good.

If I get the G5 Version, and then move to an Intel based Mac, will I have to buy it again?

All versions are included in the price, and all upgrades of version 9 will be free.

Hi Tony3D,

The Universal Binary will run on any G4, G5, or Intel based Mac running Tiger or later.

Anyone having any issues with Sasquatch and 9.2? does it work with node surfaces? ie. on skin materials. I know SAS and APS displacement don't work together currently.

The only bug on the worley site is for 9.0 and its about display and render subdivision levels needing to be equal.. though worley has mentioned to me thier trying to find a work around for the APS bug.

Anyones experiences with SAS and LW 9.0+ would be handy.
