View Full Version : How do i crease the edges for 3 point poly in sub-D?

Hey guys, I created a cone with 4 divisions, but when i converted it into a sub-d model, it turns into a blob and i couldn't use bandsaw to crease the edges, it says i need to select '4 points' poly, i took a snapshot to show you guys of what i'm talking about, ( http://img213.imageshack.us/my.php?image=conezl0.jpg )

please tell me how i can get smooth sharp edges for this object, thanks!

Select the points and set the subpatch weight map value to something above 0%. 100% will give you very sharp corners, so you'd want around 75%ish.

Study the various layers in this object with sub patch primitives. You can use the add edges tool to create the geometry. If you can master these simple shapes you can have a very good understanding of subpatch.

and for voriax, how do you set the subpatch weight map? what tab is is under? cause i can't sem to find it on the manual or help file, thanks!
