View Full Version : Creating a Mirror Reflection?

As part of a SFX Technique project I want to include a scene that shows a reflection of my model in a mirror.

I cannot seen to get the reflection to look right....it always seems to be too transparent and not solid as i would like.

I have attached a picture so you can see what I mean.

Any tip/ideas how to get a full solid reflection?

Please not this is an incomplete scene and shadows on walls etc have still to be fixed.

Weird, this scene looks like you was adjusting Transparency instead of Reflection channel.. General idea is to use 100% diffuse and 0% Reflection/Transparency.. 75% diffuse and 25% Reflection/Transparency.. 50% diffuse and 50% R/T.. 0% diffuse and 100% R/T.. They should all be adding to 100%..

Add two layers; one at the back that's highly reflective, and one in front of it, slightly offset, with a normal glass material (low reflections, high transparency, heavy fresnel effect). It'll look great! :)

Is that a photo you are comping in front of?
