View Full Version : Getting Glow to reflect

I have a sphere located just above a highly reflective metal surface.

the sphere has a goodly amount of glow on it, which renders nicely, but its reflection is the hard-edge shape of the sphere which has the glow applied to it;

the metal surface doesn't reflect the glow!

I have RT reflection turned on...is there something else I need to do to get glow to be reflected?

Glow is a post-process and invisible to raytracing. You could try using Corona/Bloom image filter to put the glow on the sphere's reflection.

You could try also with HVs or volumetric lights.

You could also export the reflection pass (--> Image Filter --> Render Buffer Export) and fiddle around with it in Photoshop or so...
