View Full Version : Time / Event triggered fading/switching

Is it already possible to time-trigger events at the Tricaster Pro?
We are planning to run a constant daytime webcasting of university lectures - partly live, partly sent from prerecorded sources (from the VCR in the Tricaster surface).
Now it would be a great opportunity, to have the playback part of this automatized. I can, of course, queue some digital movies in the vcr; but above that, a timetrigger and/or an on-event-trigger for the fader T-bar would be great, to achieve something like this:

- On a set time: the fader switches from "picture" (announcement and
copyright) to a vcr recording of a lecture
- On event "end of avi" in the vcr: the device fades back to picture
(announcement and copyright)

and so on.

Is something like that already possible, or is it planned (could it be implemented)? I think a lot of your customers would find that extremely

thanks for any reply

Software company Young Monkey offers Scheduler PRO software (http://www.youngmonkey.ca/hands/restaurant/plugins/Scheduler/index.html) for just this capability.

And I will throw my 2 cents in saying that the scheduler from youngmonkey works like a champ, it has been running a VT machine 24/7 with hourly schedules for close to a year.
