Hi there, i am searching for a fountain tutorial. Have been playing about with the HV and partigon emitters in LW9 but just cant see to get a fountain like effect. Does anyone know of a good tutorial that might help?
Cheers and thanks in advance.

You're not wrong llama me old chum. :)
I think it was to push the water presets stuff from worms of art (worth the price BTW), there is actually a spreadsheet listing each article.
The database is maintained by Dave Angelini, and can be found on his site here: http://home.comcast.net/~dpangelini (scroll down to the bottom of the page)

Welcome to 3D. Reading, learning, doing then sharing and teaching would just about sum up the job.

Care to share any of your history with us? Are you brand-new to 3D? What were you doing before? What do you want to do?

This helps us help you. And helps me crack silly jokes, too, but that's just a byproduct.

Yes, a 3D newbie...
Hmmm...history.....biochemist/transfusion medicine scientist by qualifaction, spent the last 10 yrs in Hospital I.T. and programming for a medical software company (in NZ and UK)
Now back in NZ, running a small computer business and trying to create my own 3D animation for a blue screen production i am hoping to get going.
I've been on a shortcourse for Lightwave (which was superb) and now plowing through manuals, examples and tutorials while i try to build my virtual world and animation.
Just love getting into the world of CG. Kids (aged 5 and 6) and work and daily life tend to suffer a bit!

Welcome! We have medical imagers coming out of our pores. I've done med imaging for people like the UK's Channel 4 Equinoxe programme (from the heart to DNA), and you must meet Elmar - he and his chums wrote a visualiser in LW for MRI and CT scan data. Lovely bloke, very talented and passionate.

Which island are you on in NZ? A dear, dear friend of mine emigrated there with his wife and child - he used to be a techie for SGI. Also, you're near WETA Digital - so you've got a superabundance of animation types in your back yard!

I sailed a yacht under Auckland harbour bridge for my birthday a few years back. You have a beautiful country.

I have no idea, as you are way ahead of me, but I did read somewhere that the results of blenders fluids sims can be imported into LW.

Not sure if its practical or pure voodoo, but those fluids can do some pretty nifty stuff.

South Island, near queenstown. Yep NZ is a paradise for sure, especially the south.

Nice tutorial indeed. I have done a simpler version in the past with a lathed curve instead of the rotated and copied tubes in the tutorial. Just curious, why do you build the fountain ?

it has more life than a statue or a clock in a town square. Makes for a more interesting scene...dont u think?
