View Full Version : Dstorm (.x) Exporter Plug-in Weight Map Problems

Hello, I'm sort of a newbie to LightWave, but I have recently learned about Skelegons/Bones and Weight maps, and have made a few test animations. However, I will need to be doing animations in (.x) format, and I have been using the Dstorm plug-in, and it's been working. However, it goes all screwy when it tries to deal with weightmaps. I was thinking maybe there was some free animator program that would be able to import the .lwo files and export as (.x) or maybe if someone is familiar with the Dstorm plug-in if they could tell me how to avoid this problem?

Even though I only know little about game related stuff I think DirectX does not support weightmaps and thus your export will fail. Basically you would need to bake your deformations to endomorphs or use MD_Scan. This is however very vague on my part.

I have to see your settings. I have had no problems with this plug-in.
