I am working with AmbOcc Shaders and Volumetric Lights and have problems. The shaders apply to the volumetric Light Also.

LW manage volumetrics as polygons?

Volumetrics are seen by the occlusion shader, probably not what you'd expect.

It doesn't make sense and as far as I know it can't be turned off. It seriously killed on of my renders and it took me days to work out why... :(

Are you using the node or layers shader I wonder. The Node one has a fairly new release. I wonder if you'd get the same effect.

mmm. I'm using a layer shader... I'll try with the node one. But with nodes, i'm pretty new.

It's an issue with volumetrics being visible to depth rays, not a problem with the nodes themselves.

I think the problem here is tha shader takes the volumetrics as polygons.

Then, apply the shader to light too. :thumbsdow
