But not yet for me... Whenever I create a new file and save it, I get a copy of it with _v001 (or 002 if applicable). Ex. Chess.lwo and right next to it Chess_v001.lwo.

Why does it do this and which file am I working on?
Thanks for any suggestions.

save in the same file happens with 's', incremental save (what you get) happens with 'S'. If you hit 'S' your file is saved with a new incremental number and it get's your actual file.
