View Full Version : Activating bone causing deformation

This is gotta be a newbie question regarding rigging. I've set up my rig, weight maps and have associated them together. When I activate all my bones I see a problem with 2 of my bones in my character's leg. Basicially the leg shape contracts to the width of the bone. I can't seem to see what is wrong. Here are some pics to illustrate it. Any ideas?

Try selecting all the bones and pressing "r" on the keyboard.

Tried pressing "r" but it does the same thing. The geometry contracts to the bone's width(as seen in pic 2 above).

I'm not sure if this helps, but I noticed that the parent to the bone I'm activating has very little effect on the geometry, when activated.

Any ideas on what would cause the geometry to contract like in my 2nd picture above?
