So where can I download it from, I'm keen to try it on a Macbook pro. I can't seem to find it anywhere on the site or my available downloads.

You need to log in to your product registration/software download and register as a 9.2 beta tester. (on the LW website - customer care - registration)
somewhere in there you can request access to the 9.2 program.

I am trying to get to the 9.2 Beta which I presume is the UB version now.

I have agreed to the terms of the non disclosure agreements three times but no e-mail had been sent to me.

Is this the right way to get my hands on the shiny new UB?

Sorted.
Just too excited about light speed Lightwave, I hope.

And make sure you keep any 9.2 related questions in the 9.2 forums, specifically our new Mac Universal Workshop section.

How do I install this UB-beta ?
The contents folder/disc image does not match the emailed instructions:
I cannot find the Lightwave cmdline or Modeler cmdline files

I am having the same problem.
Is there not meant to be a proper installer with this?

Hi guys,

Bring it up in the Open Beta's Mac Universal Workshop forum.

And no, the UB of LightWave does not require an installer. It can be run from an iDisk, iPod, thumbdrive, CD, ball of magic twine, etc.

Have all the keys but no where to put them. How do I get to the super secret ub forum?

As far as I understod your access to Beta section is based on the information (your forum id) you provide to product registration form. And there was a note that it may take some time before the Beta section becomes visible for you. So access Beta section is limited to registered users only. Hope I got it right.

But of course I would not mind if I could get the information required for installation some how instead of waiting when the access to Beta section has been attached my forum-profile

Hi,

You will have to go to the Lightwave 9.2 discussions.

Then Lightwave v9.2 Open Beta Applicants, from there you should be able to get onto the forum for UB.

Hello, could be handy for those who are not familiar with this forum to receive a link to that forum, instead of descripting the path.

Ok, I manage to find it, but I do not have an access to that forum. I would not mind if there would easy access to the information required for installation.

Hi,

Of course now the next question is, How long is LightWave expected to be in Open Beta before it is released as a production version? Days? Weeks? Months? I know there can't be any promises yet, but based on previous experiences at NewTek I would think they might have a general idea of the release date for the update?

Once you've registered your v9 serial number, you'll get access to the 9.2 Open Beta program on your main registration page. The 9.2 Open Beta now includes the Universal Binary.
