View Full Version : Serious problems with bump maps

I don't know what's going on, but since 9 I don't get bump maps to work in the nodal structure (image maps). I use regular projection types, switch on and off MipMap and pixel blending, but in the end it doesn't matter. The bump doesn't show up. I used the 2D image node, the bump layer mode, nothing. No bumps on my object, nowhere. I don't have a clue what going on. The color imformation is correctly projected. Everything's fine, but the bump is on vacation or somewhere else.

Did anybody have similar feelings and experiences? 100000% for the bumpAmp didn't make a difference.

The terrain is 1km by 1km, the map 1000px in square.

1. Try a different image format, like .png, tif has shown "unsupported" errors before.
2. Try applying bump with nodes to a 1m box, just to see if it's working

That map seems really small for that amount of area, what does it look like?

Having the same problem, and this is from the presets that come with LW.
specific file is Red_Stone_wall. It shows up fine in the presets panel, but when I load it there's no bump at all, looks like only the color map is active.

Any help would be appreciated especially since I'm shure its a:bangwall: moment.

Uh, nevermind, think I just figured it out (almost as bad as "check to see if unit is plugged in) had display color channel only option active...
