Here's a sample from a 3D Product Illustration (http://dreamlight.com/3d/3d_product_anim.html) job that I did a while ago. For this project I built models of a full set of various cables and used them to generate a number of different images for trade magazine covers, advertisements, trade shows and even T-shirts.

I did these in LightWave (7.5 I think) using fisbzbend.p to curve the cables, since I couldn't get spline control to do what I wanted at the time. When I get a chance I'll see if I can dig up some other samples from the project.

:)

Here are a couple of the cable trade magazine cover images from the cable 3D product illustrations. The actual covers had different type of course. :D

Very clean and professional looking. I like the surfacing on the metal, it looks really good.

Thanks guys, they were all modeled and rendered in LightWave. I also used FPrime for previews and some renders and fisbzbend.p to curve the cables.

:D
