Transparent control

Just getting up to speed on SE. I have a shadow that I rendered in LW. It is a 24 bit png sequence file, Black field with white as the shadow. I have used luma clipping to get the field to drop out and color correction to make the white shadow black. Now I would like to make it about 50% transparent so I can see some of the ground the shadow is moving over.

Is this possible with SE or do I need to load this into a compositing program like AE?

Never mind I found it under layer fade. :)

How did you render the shadow in LightWave? Sounds like something I need to do.

Change your shadow save to tga32.
Now you when you enable overlay on the layer, you have the perfect alpha matte for the shadow.
You can now color correct or blur to soften the shadow.
Also you can make regular shadow passes because your not needing the keying function in SE anymore.
You also retain the alpha channel of a shadow so if it is darker in a portion of the animation, it will stay darker because of the alpha channel.
