... However - I can't re-install Vue 5 (bonus CD's from pre-ordering) despite that I entered SN's from 7.5, 8.3, and 9n in turn.

Gadzooks!

Hello-

I can't remember the details, but I had a similar problem. As I recall, the Vue installer actually waned the Vue serial number when it asks for the Lightwave one. Not sure if that'll help, but you might want to try it. Good luck.

I could be completely wrong about this, but wasn't there a pre-registration LW9 S/N - once you got registered it with NewTek, you got assigned another number. Are you using the right one (you need to use the first one)?

Bingo...yes, that was it. Ignore my previous post.

Du'oh! However - I used the one on the disk. I'll try the one in my registration file. Thnx.

I'd like to see this carved into the door of EONs hq- it's kind of a summation of my whole experience with their products.

I only use it to convert meshes but I may just throw in the sponge on this.

After jumping through hoops, when I finally got Vue registered online with E-onsoft, they e-mailed a "registered serial number" in the form of:

VUE5INF-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXX

The email said to use this number to install Vue.

I tried contacting E-onsoft. The thread(s) said the problem lies with Newtek. How did you register Vue5 without entering a LW SN?

On the Vue 5 cd case there was a sticker that had a Vue "pre-serial number" on it. There was also another small sticker that has a barcode on it and under the barcode (in small type) there is a serial number to use as the LW serial number.
