You all know the digital clock at the show's opening with the "24"?...

I am re-creating it with another number for a client.

I have the font, lighting, colors, etc. Looks pretty darn close.

I am just using the luminosity channel envelopes for making different portions of the digital number to appear.

You know how it "ramps" in frequency? <--- Is there a graph editor or expression or plug-in that could randomize these envelopes so I don't have to keep re-creating them from scratch?

Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

I'm not familiar with the '24' clock, but if its random effects you're after it might be worth looking at the 'noisy channel' modifier in the graph editor.

Sure, easily done with an expression

Create a Null object.
Apply this to the Luminosity channel and animate the Y Channel of the Null for the frequency (the closer you are to 0 of the Y-axis the faster the value on the Luminosity Channel goes from 1 to 0.

0.5 - (sin(Time / [Null.Position.Y]) /2 )

Thanks, guys.

I'll give them both a shot!
