Would you please answer a question? In LW8.x I just render a floor object (to press F11) ,there is other object's shadow on the floor but it doesn't work when I update to LW9.x the shadow is disappear.
How can I in LW9.x to press F11 have shadow? Thanks!

Yes i can confirm that appears to be a bug in 9.x.
It's the same for both Classic and Perspective Cameras.
Don't know of an easy workaround.

Hmmm, If i'm not mistaken F11 means RENDER selected only ? To me it serves just to tweak materials so i don't have problem by getting away shadow from unselected object in this case ? Maybe it was actually broken in 8.5 ?? Someone from NT to confirm ? Really doesn't look like BUG to me, more like change of behaviour or even FIX if 8.5 was doing it wrong like some other things back then - especially in raytracing system.

It could be right/wrong either way. In LW8 you can render selected object and have it look exactly as it should in the scene. If you were render a chrome object in a scene in LW9 with F11, you'd only get the black background! So I definitely prefer it the old way. Especially since I like to render the scene once, then render selected objects from then on, and use the viewers' foreground/background alpha function to put it over the scene render.

The item that doesn't do rendering checks the button of "Unseen by Rays".

Afterwards, please do rendering with F9.
The result obtains the image similar to F11.

Sorry by poor English.

"Unseen by Rays"→"Unseen by Camera"

(LW8.x F11) This function can take out the shade on the ground alone. It is very convenient & special.

(LW9.x F11) I hide other object make it equally . There is no special character at all.

Why NewTek change this function??
