Hello Guys.
In the preceding image is there a way to close the wall in the box without copying and pasting the bottom of it?

In other words, how to close an empty space that has a lot of polygons related to it.

Thanks

easiest way is use a spline patch.

use the existing vertices to create 4 splines (for the top spline, copy the bottom spline and then "SNAP" place it so it lines up with the sides).

now use KNOTS to create the patch after you select the splines in the correct order.

ummm, you might have to consult docs if you don't know how to spline patch.

Outside of a copy/paste, everything else is tedious.
If you want to do it the difficult way, 'e'xtrude the edges of the back wall out to EACH block, merge the edges as you go or at the end.

I would just copy/paste that puppy.

Jin has a nice way, too. ;)

In this case you can speed up coping and pasting by using interactive Edit > Paste Tool.. Often forgotten useful tool..

I think the Paste Tool is deliberately forgotten sometimes because alot of the times it isn't that usefull. The reason for this is that it will snap the center of the pasted geometry to the grid, which in many cases puts the pasted geometry out of sync with the original mesh. The basic functionality is there, but the usability isn't. IE it's just another example of where NT\oldLWteam missed a small but essential tweak. You won't ever come across this issue just using regular paste and move.
