Does anyone know how to dynamically change the texture on objects or keyframe textures?

Assuming by "dynamic textures" you mean textures that move on the surface of objects when rendering an animation, here are two methods The first is to set an envelope for the textures attributes, most typically position. This will cause the texture to move across the surface. This is especially handy for procedurals to simulate water, smoke and such without particles and volumetrics. If you have an image sequence of an already animated texture, you can apply the first frame or image in the sequence as an image texture, then in the image editor panel change the type from 'still' to 'sequence'. This will use the next image in the sequence for each frame.
