Hi guys,

I'm posting to here just to get some buzz around Fiber Factory IV, I have been using it in conjunction with Max 9 to sculpt the Hair. I want to start sharing some files with people who have good knowledge of SAS and FF IV. Want to see what people can do. Attached is an example image of what I am upto over at the CGtalk WIP forum. At some point I will attach a file including the Head/SHoulders of the Model I am using plus the Polychain setup and also FF IV setting for anyone interested.

Let me know your thoughts.

What a straightman setup :D

Now I could come back and say...But this is not a Max9 site....but I won't
I could come back and say ..why the pixelation..but I won't
I could come back and say...There are no text pointers, so why the fuzz on bottom pics...but I won't
I could say on one of the red pics....There is hair cutting thru ears, doesn't max9 stop that?...but I won't

And could probably make a Max9 smart ***** remark...but I won't

:D :D

So I am left with...you need more hair above the left eye.

Hi Mr. Infinite, your work is amazing!
Yeah, Max 9 hair is the best one available, but we still can do something good on lightwave. Here I used sasquatch and saslite. The guides were modeled using HAIRSPRAY plugin. I wish Lightwave will have the amazing dynamics from Cinema 4D next version.
It's crazy work with FiberFactory for animation, cause all hair is poligonal. The lightwave dynamics is not good to animate hair ( and also cloth ). I got a syflex licence ( wow, syflex is easy, stable and amazing! ), but it does not recognize 2 points polys. This way, it's necesary to make a poligonal hair to calculate dynamics and to use metalink to apply it for the guides.

All I can say is I can't even begin to concentrate on this thread because of the wierd secrecy thing going on. What is there about these models that needs to be hidden? What the heck?

lol! We are discussing hair!

just kidding, I tought Mr. Infinite did it because he wants to discuss hair only, 'cause his model's face was already seen here and at cgtalk forum.

In my case, the face is not yet done and it's an unfinished commercial job, so I am not allowed to show the face. Just got the opportunity to discuss the best way for doing hair with lightwave.

Nice to know we can import guides from Max.

hey, Infinite, what about the render time with radiosity with fiber factory hair? With sasquatch, radiosity is not a good deal.
