I have created an On-Line system for creating estimates for Editing jobs which is totally automated and customer driven... meaning you can spend more time actually working and less time trying to figure out estimates for a project which may or may not happen.

To try out the system goto:

It's taken me a long time to figure out how to do this and for just a few bucks you can have it working for you.

Let me know what you think by emailing me at:

[email protected] (I will try to respond between working on my Tally system and playing with VT3!! ):D

Is it still running Brett?

I got a 404 on that link.

no I am redoing my site right now and I never really got any response so I took it off the site. But you can see it on my wife's site at:

It is where I was testing it when I built it. In a nut shell it is a very complicated email form which calculates forms based on a set of rules. The cool thing is that it is fully customizable, such as...

I made that one to calculate electrical needs.

That's VERY cool.

Is this a Pearl script from CGIscript.net that you customised yourself?

What's the cost?

no the cgiscript.net was only for encrypting the code I wrote... it is a mixture of CGI (for emailing the forms) and Java (for doing the math).

I did it in Dreamweaver using the KW_calcForm behavior which you can download from the macromedia website. It is VERY tricky to say the very least. The video editing form I made took me almost 60 hours to develop, test, and publish. (like 400 strings of code).

If you want I could develop you one at hourly rate, now that I have figured out how to do it I should be able to do another on pretty fast (like in 8 hours or so) email me at [email protected] it you would like to speak furthe about this.

I got a funny one for you. You are the 3rd person I have met this year that has a hand in the entertainment industry and the dance business.

Check out my wife's site:

I just get a kick out of the number of coincedences that dance teachers and guys in the entertainment business get hooked up.

Very cool... Yea I just took a "real" job with Encore Productions out here so my wife could concentrate on getting the studio profitable and I could worry about bringing home the "bacon"... as well as focusing on my new venture which I will announce here once I get it running (but you can check out my site at www.n2itive.com )
