Hello All;
I need a little quickstart help here. I need to model a generic joystick for an illustration and since I am terrible at drawing freehand, I have to use LW9.

Here is a link to some pictures of a joystick I need to model ...


What is the most appropriate modeling method/technique to use on an object like this and what is the best way to get started ?

Something like that I'd use beveling. Where the buttons are molded to the side I select some, being sure the polys are what I want, and smoothshift those out. It takes a little trial and error to get a good look when subpatched.
