hello, I don't know much about scripts, but is there one that you could make a object follow another at a certain speed? for instance, you have one spacefighter following another one?

There is a motion plugin called follower that you can use.

Or you could use a motion path and there is a motion modifier (forget what it's called- cruise control I think) that you could use to set a precise speed limit.

I couldn't get that to work in 8.5 - haven't tried in 9.0

(I was trying to write my own motion plugin, and used that as an example - it didn't work either).

do you have to buy follower or is it already there?

Try Relativity (motion modifier) - there's a Dr. Follower wizard (under "Ask a Professor" pulldown) that simplifies the whole thing and gives you choices like following at a distance. See below very simple example where Null(2) follows Null(1) 2 meters behind.

The forum kicked me out before I added the file...see below.

when I tried openning it, it said "No plug-in of type Item Motion Handler found with name Relativity."
