Occasionally I see people looking for metal orbs to use in obtaining HDRI images; at www.cb2.com one can find an
aluminum ball for a reasonable price. The catalog says they ship internationally too. Hope it helps someone. Here's the page...

Why did she say MAX, when max isn't even available on the Mac? I think she's a bit... odd?

After trying everything from worry balls to an r2d2 style bin lid, I've settled on this. People were saying go to garden centres for ornaments but our garden centres didn't stock them. That is until Colkai found one in B&Q, went to the local B&Q the other week and trawled through tens of the b*gg*rs looking for the best one.

Here's mine on a 3D World mag for scale (it's huge). Cost about 7 or 8 quid

I have an 8" ball of the garden variety. The problem is that reflected light sources glow or look foggy, greatly reducing the quality of the reflections. Anyone else have this problem? If you don't... WHERE'D YOU GET YOUR BALLS? Thanks.

The one we have here is blue. But I still love the reflections. I guess thats why they are so popular for the garden.
