hi all
im using lw8.5 osx ..and was wondering if there is a plugin or something
that will allow a character to hold an obj...like a cup
in one hand and then put it his other hand?( like in the gieco spot with the coffee cup)like a parent obj. at this frame to bone -hand-lft...then parent it to bone-hand-rt at a later frame?
i know how to do it with cloned cups diss %100 -%0 on off.etc
just wondering
thanks

Heven't tried it but you might be able to parent a null to each hand then setting up the parenting of the cup to transfer between the two.

You could use multiple cup objects, and hide (dissolve) or reveal them at the appropiate moment. Parent a cup to each hand, second cup hidden, then when the hand moves to the position of the second cup, hide the first cup and reveal the second. Then if you want to set it on the table, have a hidden third cup already there, move the hand with the second cup over to it, then hide the second cup and reveal the third. Seems kind of clunky, but I have come to like it. Be sure to line up the cups of course.

On the Pulse medical simulator project, we have alot of stuff that the doctor has to pick-up, carry and set down. It is 3DMax, but the principle is still the same.
