NewTek is pleased to announce that the LightWave v9.2 Open Beta program is now available for the 32-bit PC, 32-bit Mac (PowerPC) and 64-bit PC platform.

The LightWave v9.2 Open Beta program is open to all registered owners of LightWave v9.0 educational or commercial licenses. All qualified applicants need to log-in to their NewTek product registration account at http://register.newtek.com. If you are qualified, you will see a LightWave v9.2 Open Beta banner at the top of the page. Click this banner to read and agree to the NDA and provide your NewTek Discussion Forums log-in ID. Once you have done this, please download the software appropriate for your platform from your My Downloads page. If you are not able to download the software immediately, please be patient. We have implemented new systems for this to provide as much bandwidth as possible, but demand is expected to be high.

If you have not already signed up for a NewTek Discussion Forums account (http://www.newtek.com/forums) log-in ID (forums name/alias), please register for one (http://www.newtek.com/forums/register.php) before applying for the LightWave v9.2 Open Beta program. You will need this in order to access the private LightWave Open Beta Forums, which is the only place you may discuss the Open Beta program software until the end of the LightWave v9.2 Open Beta cycle. Access to the private Open Beta forums may take up to two business days after you agree to the NDA and provide your log-in ID.

Everyone interested in participating in the LightWave v9.2 open beta program will need to complete the process outlined above, including those that participated in the LightWave v9(.0) Open Beta program.

If you do not currently qualify for the Open Beta program, but would like to participate, you may still do so by purchasing a full version of LightWave v9 or upgrading an existing license of LightWave 3D to LightWave v9. You can purchase LightWave directly from NewTek online at http://shop.newtek.com or by phone at 1-800-368-5441. You may also purchase from your local authorized NewTek reseller. To find the Authorized Reseller near you, in North America visit http://www.newtek.com/dealers/us.php or outside North America visit http://www.newtek.com/dealers/international.php.

Me too. Though if what Kurtis said (jokingly) is true about least amount of posts to most, I should be there soon! *Shutting up now...*

I can not found the Beta Banner on the register page.

Perhaps...Is Japanese off the target?
Is regrettable...

I am developing some camera plug-ins, and am expecting it of new render engine.

Thanks.

The offices don't open for another 6 hours, so if you can't access this minute, please wait at least that long before trying again. We've got someone who's full-time job is to add people, but it takes time and there's already been a huge rush of people signing up. Please be sure to check your email and spam filters regularly to see if you get a message requesting corrected information to be able to add you.

When accepting the NDA on the registration page, it asks for your forum ID, and I entered "neverko"... was that correct. If not, what is the forum ID?

That's what you should have entered. They may just not have worked their way down the list to you yet. Unfortunately it's a process that can't be automated yet and takes some time.

The process worked without a hitch here. Just waiting for Forum access - but no rush...got new toys to play with. :)

Quick question, you say registered owners of both the commercial and educational versions can participate in the beta program. I have a commercial license i use at home (which i am registered on the beta with) and at work (which is a college) we run several multi-seat educational licenses (5 license packs), i would like to register the beta on one of the educational licenses so i dont need to move my commercial dongle between work and home (on the dongle i use in the office) but the beta registration system wont accept my educational serial (at first it said invalid, now it just takes me to the standard lw9 registration page even though i selected the beta).

Is it posible to run the beta off a multi-seat educational serial?

Actually, I'm not sure on that. Please contact Customer Service, and they should be able to assist you. For the UK, that would be NewTek Europe Customer Service.
