If you're like me, and think back in sepia colored memories with tattered edges to the time you were playing Sam & Max: hit the road, Day of the tentacle, Monkey Island and all those other incredibly funny and entertaining Lucasarts adventure games then...

Good news for you today!

Yesterday Telltale games came out with part 1 of their 6 chapter sequel to Sam & Max... and I played it, and although its a tad too easy, its a fantastic job with exactly the right atmosphere, and each installment only costs you exactly the price of a gurkin at the local 'Chez Maurice'.

Let the happyness begin!

But my soul is asking for JANE JENSEN'S outstanding Gabriel Knight series.
or another Grim Fandango sequel...
Even a new version of DARKSEED
How can i forget beautiful "SANITARIUM.."

_great topic_
in terms of innovation FAHRENHEIT - INDIGO PROPHECY was pretty good. If you didnt play check it out.

A Gabriel knight - like game, indeed by Jane Jensen is to be released I think late next year, called Grey Matter...

Also, a very interesting game called Experience112 will be released Q1 2007:

But honestly, besides Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island, Sam and Max was definately one of the utmost favorites... and giess what, they're negotiating deals to do those too!

Played that demo of Sam and Max and it looks great. It seemed to have the same vibe as the original :)

It felt like the sun came out when I got a copy of the new Sam and Max. It's not quite as insane as the original, and the sound's not quite up to what I recall (Sam's voice isn't quite fruity enough for my tastes, and a gun that size should make a *MUCH* bigger racket), but it's still Sam and Max, darnit. Glee!

And as it's only Episode 1, they may be turning up the Crazy Dial in coming eps.

Yay.

whoohooo! Finally a bit of news that speaks to my crusty generation. I wonder if there will be any visits to Stickeys mart or whatever they called in in the game. Or will that be replaced with Mal-wart to be more up to date. ;D
