Hello, friends:

Another beginner question about modelling. I´m finishing a girl i talked about any posts before. She wears a belt and i doubt if this part must be modelled extruding or “smoothshifting” polys or i must do it separately and then apply weight maps similarity to weist for good deformation. The belt will never put it out (...Uh?...Are these sounds dissapointment sighs;) ?) in a future animation, i think it help you for answer me.

I hope show you this model soon. I never finished a model so it will be my first time and it will be with you i think (eeemmm...it sounds strange isn´t it  ?).

Thanks as usual:

I'd copy the waist over to a new layer. Knife or Stencil across the waist to create path of points all around the waist where I'd like the belt to run. Then Select those points in order (you could clean em up abit first) and make a curve. An last Rail Extrude a profile of the belt.

Another question : she wears a wooly hat like rapers wear. Must it be parented or be part of the main model? She won´t loose it.

Sure have it in the same layer, it's less hassle that way. Otherwise you'll have to parent, use "use bones from object" option etc.
