:D Hi guys,

Something I did using October's 10 Sec club clip. though I can't seem to access their website anymore..

here's it:

what I've done:

WIP (2 days before):

Both models are based on the same character, "Koco" the chocolate fella (2nd Pic). I just slapped on a different colout scheme. added a cheap wig and some vertex colour brush on his cheeks. :heart:

really putting in effort into a simple 10 sec animation with dialogue did help me learn alot.

from my WIP you can see that I have started by making creating key poses.
using "stepped curve" options. the last 2 shots are still in that stage.

I think there's alot more to improve on. I'm even not satisfied with the staging part. but oh well it's time to move on... :oye:

very good Lipsyns .. did you used morphs?

try to make a simple background or just a gray color BG , it would be better IMO

btw .... thanks, I saw your rigging tutorial and it's very helpful.

I used morphs and just 1 bone for the entire jaw area to tweak/emphasis the mouth movement.

Very good. I like the directing/choice of poses and think the characters have good presence. I see only one major issue, I suppose it's to do with weight. You don't seem to consider that bigger body parts can't move as fast as small body parts. The woman turns her body and head as fast as she can blinks. The dude does simular.

thanks evenflcw! I just couldn't put my hand on what's bothering me about the animation. something just didn't feel quite right.

That's some decent character animation. I'm glad to see more Lightwave users getting involved at the 10 Second club. Give those Generi addicted Maya heads something to think about. Good work.
