Your one lucky LW'r

Jonny Gordon lives there...he is an amazing LW artist!

Also, there is a large group of talented LW artists in Australia....Dave Tracy, Richard Brak, Tim Cameron, Tom Taylor and more...

check out the LW OZ site and try and hook up with them.

Also check with New Magic, The Aussie and Kiwi distributor for Lightwave:

I lived in Ozzi for a few years. Perth.
In the 3D sector...
Once piece of advice: don't work without a contract. Ever. They'll not pay you. Even if they were 'so nice'. Really. Contract.

Beware that LW is a dying breed in Australia, (even many have fled to Modo)
It's used by only a few in a Maya/Max world.....
But as Proton mentions, the Ozwavers that are there are extra talented.

Thank you proton for your reply:thumbsup: ...however I known that website .....and it seems that anybody is in there... Regarding the artist that you have mentioned, I know by name someone of them, but the majority works in different place like melbourne or sydney and I can't work outside South Australia according to my Visa....so I feel alone in a world of Max Users...even more because I'm in Architectural Visualisations.....:help:

Hi Ingo....I moved to Australia because here you can enjoy your life....I was bored of the Italian way of life...(in all europe is the same or quite...) It were a great decision for me and my wife (and the cat too..) but I hope to get a better future and overall without stress....:)

Aah your cat, or should i call it snakefood ;) I guess your just in the wrong city regarding your job, Melbourne would be much better for archviz. I have a friend working in Brisbane as an architect, they build a lot there too, but he said that business is very rough in Australia. So good luck for your job.

Seon from sector3 Just advertised a LW position in Melbourne...
(not far away) And ABP in Sydney were looking for a Modeler recently.

I believe they teach LW in Adeliade though, as other former Aussies from Adelaide members like Mark Soon who have recently been working onsite
on movies like "Anne Frank" all started in that particular place.

Most studio work will be found in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth. (in that order) but very few LW specific jobs really.

Australia's studio's are mainly Maya and Max based... (as you mentioned)
Rising Sun Pictures (RSP) is in Adelaide and they use XSI a lot.

There is a group for Ozwavers below (group is used far more than the website)
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lwOz/ Ask them for more information about things like the DLF. Hope it helps.
