apply a texture, doesn't matter what really, and use uv mapping as the projection. save object, export.

Thx MooseDog . But I don't got too many " flight hours " on LW to
understand what you said .
I know usually when I save a model with uv coordinates as an obj file
it also add a mtl file with it that contain the uv info .
like when I use Deep uv .
if it possible for you to explain me more slowly and in more detail cos
I don't get it .
for example : I make a box , apply it uv mapping than I export it as obj file
but it doesn't add up the mtl file too .

What he means is:
Select some polys.
Make a surface (hit "q", give it a name, and hit "enter". Thepolys will be assigned that surface).
In Surface Editor, select the surface you just made (or any surface).
Push one of the "T" buttons on the right.
In the new window you should see that it wants to assign an image to the surface. Under projection select UV and then assign your UV map to this.
You don't need to assign an image, just the UV map.
When you export the OBJ the surface will reference the UVs so they will get exported also.
