Hi
i hit a problem here when i wanted to use multiple tangent normal maps under node editor. One normal map works just fine but Lightwave does not let me connect 2 normal maps to shader`s normal map slot. And i do know now how to mix 2 normal maps without messing up normals.

Can anyone help me out with this please?

Try adding them together using a Vector Add node, and then Vector Scale the output by 50%, and plug that into the Normal input. Just a guess...

Hey James
thank you for your help. It looks like your solution works better than mine. e. Thou this brings couple other questions

- if i use 4 slot "add" i need to scale by %25 right?
-what if i want to use lets say 6 or 8 normal maps, is it possible?

Yes, Add4 will need to scale back by 25%.

You need to take the average of all the normals at each point, so just add them all together, using 4 slot "add" nodes, which you can add together using more vector add nodes, and divide the end result by the number of maps you're using.

Thank you james, that was very helpful.
