View Full Version : Splines Problem

I have managed to copy and paste the same spline mesh on top of each other, I only noticed when I did some test patches. I've sorted my problem by returning to an earlier version. Although I don't plan on doing it again, it would be good to know if there's a way of selecting the overlayed splines and deleting them?

Any Ideas?

If they're perfectly matching, like f.e. after copy'n'paste in the same place, use Unify Polys (shift+I).

If you like spline modeling EasySpline http://www.easyspline.com is the only way in LightWave where you actually see geometry during moving points on splines, adding or removing points or new splines. Website is not yet finished, but videos are great example what you actually get.

There is recent thread in SpinQuad WIP area which has little tutorial with spline cage previewer turned on almost all the time with the latest spline & point highlighting feature enabled helping to see hard visible splines on bad reference images:

I forgot to mention, before Unify Polys use Merge Points, just in case not only splines are duplicated but also points, what I believe probably happened..

Thank you from me and anyone else who didn't know.
