View Full Version : Local Illumination Model in LW <9 Versions?

Im writing my diploma thesis at the moment and Ive also some content about local and global illumination models in it.
Due to the fact that my practical parts are done with LW, I just wanted to know if the Phong Model (diffuse, specularity+glossiness) was implemented in the previous to 9 Lightwave versions as local illumination model. I know its the most common one until today, but I wanna be sure.

I also know we are able to "build" our own models due to the support for several diffuse and specular shaders like blinn,cook torrance, oren nayar, Minnaert etc. in LW9, but my question is only regarding previous versions.
