I didn't even know that the Thickener is broken in LW9. Thanks to Intuition for pointing that out to me..

So, here is the Update:

www.Blochi.com/gfx/thickener_en.html

- compatible with LW 9 ,8 ,7. Maybe even 6, who knows....
- correctly merges hull when you thicken a selection only
- leaves the Inside, Seam, or Outside selected, so you can change the surface or refine with the bandsaw tool.
- uses only one Undo() slot in LW9 (Thanks, Dodgy)

Happy Thickening...

Blochi!!!

Well done, sir! Thank you as I really like this plugin. It has served me well.

Tried to contribute but it sent me to the German (?) version of PayPal and my German is AWFULLY rusty. ;) Tips on how to get it in English and dollars?
Thanks.

Huu... You are the first one in 4 years, who voluntarily clicks that donate button. Try again, it should be in English now. However, I cannot switch it to dollars, but it will convert it on checkout. Rate is roughly 1:1.25... So, 10 Euros would be $12,50 ;)

I hope 30 Euros isn't too little.

Done.

Thanks for all you do.

Thanyou Blochi

Used thickener quite a bit till 9 and it broke when I needed it most

Thought I was stuffed until Intuition mentioned He just 'so happened' to sit next to you at work :D Few days later and 'Thickener 3' is born.

Thankyou very much :) :boogiedow

Yep. This year has been fairly hard on the old plastic for reasons like this. Here's hoping that the 'reborn' LW also encourages developers in future with less breakage and more documentation (including learning assistance!)

Well, the surface thing is essentially in there now. You are left with a seam selection.... I try to keep it as simple as possible. Personally, I prefer tools that assist a workflow rather than the Uber-All-In-One tool.
The pan and rotate view thing ... well, yes, I wish it would do that. But I am afraid that kind on non-modality is not possible in LScript. Only real C plugins, that pipe their options through the Numerics Panel, allow that. This current hack is as far as it gets with interactivity. You might have guessed - it makes a flip-copy-flip-smshift-paste operation, and when you drag the slider, it does undo-undo-undo-undo-undo and starts over. Does all that with 7000 RPM, so it appears to be interactive. But it really isn't.

BTW blochi, someone found a function in 9 for grouping undos.

undogroupbegin()
undogroupend()
(LW9)

Groups all commands between these two statements into a single undo.

PS: Sorry, apparently Paypal will not let me change the language. That might be because the account is based in Germany, or because the webserver is in Germany. Who knows...

It should be straightforward. For a quality English-German dictionary, try dict.leo.org. That should help, although the examples can sometimes be not entirely work safe ;)

Rough guide :

Land - obvious
Vorname - first name
Nachname - family name
Zahlungsart - payment method (bankkonto is bank account - choose mastercard or visa for an easier life)
Kreditkardnummer - credit card number
Gultig bis - valid until
Kartenprufnummer - credit card security number, the 3 digit rightmost number on the signature strip

Adresszeile x - address line
Ort - place
PLZ (Postleitzahl) - postcode (ZIP for USians)

Ist das Ihre Versandadresse - is that your delivery address
Ja - Yes
Nein - No

E-Mail-Adresse - email address
Telefon Privat - private telephone number

Geben Sie den Code wie unten gezeigt ein - enter the code shown below

Hi all I can't seem to download Thickener3. I get the reply attached below. Any ideas?

Blochi

wow, that's interesting that it gives you a choice instead of a 404.
However, I just tried it, and it downloads fine.

BTW - just checked the Mac compatibility, and it works, too. MacLW8.0 at least.

When I read that it made me laugh but not in a malicious way, more of a 'wow! That's human nature for ya' sort of way.

Thickener is an awesome tool and even a whole new modeling paradign in itself (we can choose box modeling, poly by poly, spline patching or pumping up zero-thickness shells with Thickener).

I'll be donating later today.

Having no luck with the german PayPal in attempts to send money. I know in the U.S. I can click "Send Money" to anyone's e-mail address. Blochi, if you're not comfortable with posting an e-mail address here, maybe you can P-M one to those grateful fans who request it? Count me in...
