Buy Nvidia, or update your ATI drivers........
Ati crashes on everything, they've always done so, get used to it...

Not true. I'm using Lightwave, Modo and Maya on an ATI X600 and haven't had a single driver related crash with any of them. The only crashes I've had are due to known issues with the applications themselves.

change to a certified driver maybe a good idea.

i encounted similar problem using a non-certified driver.
(on a 1400)

with certified, i mean the one provided by your notebook builder, say HP.

hope you can get rid of it:D

Hey Max,

how did it go with this?

I am in a similar spot now as I have upgraded from a radeon 9600 to an X1950.
