not sure if any of these issuse have been addressed, yet.

UVs don't work with catmull-clark sub d.
if any edge weighting is used, and then any cutting of polys (bandsaw, knife, edge bevel sub devide, etc.) the polys that are weighted disconnect from the rest of the model.

anyone know if there have patches for these problems or is there something i'm doing wrong?

These are known limitations of the new Catmull Clarks, but I'm sure NT will be looking to fix these...

You can still apply UV's but not in sub-patch mode. If the geometry splits when you cut or knife etc.., you will have to delete the edge-weight vertex map and re-apply any sharpness after modifications.

I've been having the same problems as you... :grumpy:

cool, good to know i'm not the only one. sux about the UVs! the whole point in working in CatmullClark is for sub d's with ngons. does me no good if i can apply a UV to a mesh i can't sub d.

anyway, thanks for the word!

Just to let you know, you CAN still apply UV to a CC mesh, but just not with the subpatch option in the UV tab...I think! :)
