Hello All,

There is a small series of events I would like to hire someone to write a script for if. To automate them if possible. If it is not possible to automate any or all of these, please let me know.

The View would be Timeline, Storyboard, but the Storyboard would be active.
There would be between 20-50 DV clips in the storyboard. The number would vary.

This is the series of events.:

1-Insert a set clip at start of project, then place in between each existing clip already in the storyboard, then at end of project.
This clip would not change, so a requestor asking for the clip would not be necessary. If told where to do it, I could write the proper 'code' into the script to point to the proper clip.

2-Press 'Alt+F' to Insert fades.

3-Turn on Track Clip, 'U'

4-Highlight first clip in storyboard.
Press 'Down Arrow' 4 times.
Press 'Shift+0'
Repeat (Down 4 times, 'Shift+0') till End of project.

If you think this is possible please contact me at the email below with price quote before you get started.
I can Paypal, send a Money Order etc...

Thanks All...Any questions let me know....

Jim,

I have finished step 1 to 3. I don't understand what step 4 is doing. Can you specified the functions you need (not in hot key since my keyboard shortcut might be different with your).

'Down Arrow' 4 times means step to next 4th clip (if available)
'Shift+0' means what?
And do you want to 'Shift+0' on first clip?

Hey Chen,

Once again, THANK YOU! Not the first time you have whipped up something on request. THANKS!!

Yes. But since we started on the first clip. 'Shift/0' would happen on the 5th clip initially then every 4th clip after that until the end of trhe project.
I have highlighted the clips 'Shift/0' would be applied to in red in the picture.

'Shift+0' means what?

If you have 'Bob's Chapter Points' plug in installed it will place a special 'BobsChapterPoint' on to the timeline if you apply it while in Storyboard.

Regular 'M'arkers can not be placed while working in Storyboard mode, only 'BobsChapterpoint' can, and only if the timeline is visible at the same time.
This is illustrated in the clip also.

I would be willing to purchase 'Bob's Chapter Points' plugin for you if it is required to complete the task. It's pretty handy for a few things.
It can output csv or text files of marker placement which can be imported into TMPGENC to force I frames for exact chapter point placement, or imported into certain Authoring apps like DVD-LABpro for direct chapter placement. It also exports the notes placed on the markers. Very handy.

And do you want to 'Shift+0' on first clip?

No. Starting on the 5th then on every 4th clip after that.

Thanks a ton Chen, let me know if you need anything else.
And don't forget to Bill Me. I am not asking anyone to work for free, your time and mind is too valuable.

Great! I am so curiosity on what you want to do in the first mail and I get the answer now.
Yes. I need the 'Bob's Chapter Points' plugin to know what command I should add into the script. I can send you the script after I got Bob's plugin. It is almost done.

It is a small script, a Bob's plugin will be enough for the bill.

Keep poping out the ideas to improve the VT in the real world.
