View Full Version : Moving cloth

I have a bed with a cloth falling on it. My question is, once it has landed, I want to move it so that it slides off the bed.

I try and move it and I guess because we are just using dynamics, it does not effect the cloth when I move it manually.

How do i do this?

you could try blowing it off with some wind controllers

Yes, I actually tried this first, but it did not give me the desired effect. I want a corner to be picked up and pull the sheet off, like that magic trick where the magician pulls the table cloth off without knocking the glasses over...

Does that make sense?

Hello :)

Uhm... I just tried one technique with sewing on event!
Seems to work fine. What it basically does is that you have two nulls which are your "virtual hands" that pull off the tablecloth you have.
In the ClothFX sewing tool I set two vertices to be sewed to one of the nulls on an event, which is caused by the collision set to event-mode.
After that you can just drag those nulls around to move your tablecloth away.

But just check the attached file out and I'm sure you'll see what I mean.
