Can't find if this question has been asked here. But what does Newtek recommend between a GEFORCE 7600GT and a QUADRO 1500 - both of which are in the affordable range.

Does LW9 make better use of the QUADRO series than the older LW releases?

Is there a performance difference between the two above mentioned boards as far as LW9 is concerned?

Thanx to all who can help me with this.

it's hardly a "you get bang for buck" thing, but quadro's seem to perform better in 3D creation programs like lw.

Traditionally LW has not seen a big improvement due to Quadro, but I havnt seen anything recently... My guess is, yes a Quadro would be faster, but by how much? for the price difference not alot is my bet.

I'm running a Quadro 540 on my home LW machine - and a Geforce 6600 at work...both are good. I have experienced more crashes at work than here...but that could be due to other configuration issues.

Well I have a spare 7800GTX that I'll let go for 150 (I'm open to bargaining). It ran LW8-9 wi' no issues at all.

Just make sure it supports OpenGL 2, I guess most new cards do...
