I swear i saw a video where you can get settings for the lens distortion and as you did there was a square with yellow grid lines that showed you how the lens shape would deform by bending the lines for barrel effect and stuff. But now i cant find the video or settings for it or any other information on it. any one know what im talking about? Thanks.

I know that was covered in Andy Bishops presentation in last years Siggraph [2005], if you watched those viseos. Not sure if they are still available online though. I suspect not.

...but it was only a proof of concept for the new cameras. The new real lens camera coming up in the next update to LightWave will do it accurately. Watch the LW9 Siggraph 2006 demos here (http://www.newtek.com/shows/siggraph/2006/2006.php).

I just hope they allow for user defined cameras/lenses... I doubt that they will support all cameras/lenses out there, and if a new camera comes out it would be up to NT to actually implement them. (I've gotten some projects shot on some wicked combos that I doubt will be in there as a preset).

Cheers,
