Ah ok, got ya! ;)

At first I thought you were saying to design a whole building, but it's more of a 'make our new building look cooler' sort of thing? Sounds like fun .. I might have a crack at it :)

A few questions...

1) How much is budgeted for the makeover?

2) Do you need to keep the garage door?

3) I don't remember who did the robot guys you have in the mural (you?), could I get a copy of the finished image to replace the mural once I've doctored up the building?

4) How much parking do you need?

sbrandt, thanks! I plan on replying to your last post once I finish fixing it up. Your input was invaluable. The embarassing part is that I knew better than how I was doing.

videolink,

I've modelled the building in LW, and when I texture it, I'll need the bitmaps of those guys where they are on the real building added as textures for my model They're just too cool to get rid of.

Could you spare *one* parking spot? :D

I'll have to ask DRM for his permission before I give the graphic out. But he should be in soon, Its Friday and we have game night, and drink rum night, lol. ill let you guys know soon.
and yes we could spare one spot, but why?
he asked inquisitively...

thanks videolink...

I don't care about using the logo; but it's on the building now and is a terrific effect, imo. I just didn't want to destroy the coolest effect on the existing building. :)

1. Is this building leased or owned? (Has a bearing on how much modification can be done to the physical structure.)

2. On the left in front of the building; how much of that area is soil? Where does the soil end and the asphalt begin? (It LOOKS like the right edge is just to the left of the big window and I cant tell where the front edge is near the sidewalk.)

3. Do you need the light from the small window on the left, or can it be covered?

4. What's the line running from the left, and ending at the Grey boxy thingy under the first "W" in www.video... ? Does it stay or can it go?

5. Does the garage door still open, or is it fixed in place now. ...That is to say, Can it be covered in a manner that can removed later to revert the door to operational status.

6. Are the two yellow stand pipes on the right fixed to the wall or do they stand proud? (If so how far?)

8. What's your savings account passbook number?

...well, as long as I have you on a roll...:D

No one expects the spanish Inquisition !!!

Thanks for the response.

Re: My question #2: What's the green stuff growing in, that's right under the LightWave logo? Is there any room to plant anything back there?

Re: My question #6: Actually what I had in mind for the Gas Meter and the stand-pipes was a cover. That's why I asked how far they stand out from the wall or if they lie against the wall.

Videolink - can you post a high resolution image of the outside, maybe front and three quarter views.

I feel some Photoshop work coming on!

BTW: Could the prize be a copy of LightWave (I'll need a copy for home when I get my PC, saves knacking the works dongle by removing/inserting/removing/inserting etc.)

:)

wow the questions...cool, keep it up guys

the gas pipes have to be yellow (safety codes)
but the meters could be covered with a box

the green stuff growing is some wierd kind of hemp, we removed it:rolleyes:

a planter could be integrated into the design, yes,

someone left a phone message asking about garden roof
ya neat idea, how about a greenhouse!

we are currently modelling the building ourselves for our own purposes, and a new pic will be posted shortly.

OH ya ... a second contest will be announced when we decide on the first one.

Our official logo is the red VL
see the website

The forum will not allow me to post a .ai or .esp vector
however
we would consider a new logo
