Okay, I finally went out and bought Lightwave, expecting to be able to hack it with my Blender training.

:help: Nope! Jeeze! I can't even get obj. models to load so I can actually SEE them in the layout.

Well I'm looking at this tutorial package now:

Does anyone know if this is worth the money?

In any case, maybe I can save money, anyone got a good tutorial source that starts out for beginers and is for version 8 (mine's 8.5)? (Sheesh, now everyone's going for 9! It's only been out so long!)

The database has gone pdf. Excellent for keeping on your own system for reference. For anyone who has seen the other thread with the pdf, this has been updated to include CGFocus.

Hit the above resources, don't go forking out for training until you've exhausted the web free stuff unless it covers a specfic topic you want in detail.

A lot of folks have put a lot of energy into sharing with the community, take advantage of that generosity, it's one of the true powers of the LW community.

There is everything from the simple, right up to the highly complex, the LW community is great for supporting learning. :D
