Probably everyone here already knows this guy or his website, but I saw some new videos here and I wanted to leave his link here.

everything on this site is absolutly amazing.

I was thinking of making a copy of this thread in the requests section :hey:

Deeply cool stuff, but at least with Dynamite I don't feel quite so... inadequate... over my smoke 'n' flame abilities :)

Those multi-density fluid sims are lush - the skin simulation really does it for me. That's the future of character animation right there.

This is the team ILM tapped to create the fluid system for Poseidon. Their presentation at the VES festival showed the progression from these demos to the final shots in the film. Great stuff.

And people often wonder why software costs so much money. Look at all the research that goes into this stuff.

Me brain hurts! ;)

Holy cow is he a prolific technical author! And I was sure impressed with his bench press limit (I can imagine, and did, 300's but not 500's...yow!).

Yea, but not that all the software companies make and fund the research.

Who do you think the researchers get their money from, they sell their programs to companies.

Which company paid Dr Blinn for the Blinn shading model?
