Hi everyone,

I'm doing this out of curiousity but figure that it would be useful for anyone interested in getting the most out Lightwave using Plugins. Basically look for the "most have" plugins.

It's not as easy as that. THere are literally hundreds of little lscripts that may not seem much, but some do a specific job very well, and if you have that specific job to do, then they are essential.
JUst go to one plugin maker alone http://www.pictrix.jp/lw and there are dozens of useful free utilities, and some great commercial ones.

QemLoss3

Definitely Dpont's procedurals.
If you've got 9, then qemloss3 doesn't work, and decimate is flaky. Get the reduction tool here instead:

It's also the home of these plugins:

Make_UV_edit pelt mapper
UV packer

JettoBevel

This is alright, but I bought bevel++ for $25 and I use it pretty much exclusively for all bevelling now. You can store the profile of the bevel in the preset shelf, get it to deal with overlapping edges and it's the best solution in this area.

As for the rest, I pretty much agree. Fprime and HD instance, and the IFW textures are very handy as well :)

Tyrot: I don't have vertibevel 2. I like 1, couldn't wish for more :)
It must be mentioned that Pictrix and some other japanese developers make the most amazing plugins, for free. LWCAD is also amazing.

But there's so many others... Evasion 3D's stuf... XDOF, Hypersmooth, Microwave...
