I searched but couldn't find if anyone had posted with this question so I apologize if this has been asked.

When using subdivision modeling with the default "subpatch" method I'm able to use the Drag tool to manipulate points on BOTH the cage of the model and where the point would lie on the model itself.

However using Catmull-clark I'm only able to use Drag on the cage itself NOT the model. Is this a glitch or limmitation of catmull-clark subdivision modeling?

I've attached an image to (hopefully) better get my question across.

Thanks.

I think you'll find it is an incomplete feature. The ability to drag isoparms should be added in LW9.x

This feature is called "Phantom subpatch point selector" in LW. And yes I'd like to see this added for CC subds aswell, because you can't model efficiently in subds without it. I guess most will still be using and modeling in subpatches and polys then, despite having CCs. :(
