View Full Version : Error message in modeller

Hi, I was wondering if someone might know how to fix this problem.
Whenever I hit the supershift button I immediatley get this error message:

Error. Custom operation failed. Cannot load external plug-in file <C:\Program Files\Lightwave\Model\Modellertols.p>.

If I try to find plugins via the 'scan directory' function, modeller crashes!

Should I be thinking about reinstalling LW?

You can try to re-install the single plug-in and avoid scanning the whole directory.

I tried this http://www.newtek.com/faq/index.php?primary=LightWave%203D&question=152

and now the supershift button has dissapeared.

I have tried to manually replace, but it just wont have it??

what version of lightwave?

in 8.5, supershift is now multishift; search the boards for multishift for help.

I have had this problem too occasionally. It usually happens when I set my content directory to something other than the Lightwave base directory. Annoying sometimes, but I have just learned to manually find the directory that I am loading from.:)

I do have 8.5, and I have been fiddling with my content directory lately. Thank's guy's it's all sorted out now.
I'm actually a bit rusty. My graphic card gave up in January. And what with becoming a dad last month, I put LW aside. Now returning I am sitting here reading the manual all over again. Heh, it's amazing how much new stuff I'm actually taking in.
