Quick Q:

We are creating an animation of a dinosaur running down a road towards the viewer (camera).

We shot the road footage.

The animation is done.

We have the dino object, and a ground object, and video set in the composite tab.

How do we combine the two and accurately get the dino's shadows on the ground?

Mapping the video onto the surface of the ground as a FRONT PROJECTION, or as a PLANAR PROJECTION?

Getting weird seams- the image is skewed and doesn't fill the ground with FRONT.

I've done alot with still frames, but not running video.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you already have, then just ignore my suggestion, but have you tried doing a test render with your front projection set up? Some things with the OpenGL rendering will not display as it will when you render.

Good call!

I was relying on the open GL too much.

Much better!

Thanks!
