I need to put an elbow-like bend on the end of a pipe.

What is the best way to do this? What I've tried hasn't worked.

2 ways you can do this and odds are there are even more than I have thought of.
1) Place a spline in the background and use rail extrude, this will extend your pipe.
2) Use bend tool, this will bend just the end of your pipe allowing it to stay the same length. Select the segments you want bent, select the bend tool and if the wrong end is bending open the numeric panel and click on the opposite shape. To use the bend tool you need to have segments the length of your pipe.

Thanks. I'll try your suggestions tomorrow.

use the lathe tool and set it to 90, instead of 360.
